Vintage 9ct Gold Opal Cluster Ring
A beautiful ring from the mid to late 20th Century, dated Sheffield 1975. The ring is made from 9ct gold and is in beautiful condition. The centrepiece is the wonderful cluster of opals that all have incredible fire with prominent flashes of orange and blue/green throughout. As is customary with these wistful gemstones, the photos do not do the stones justice. These opals glisten beautifully in all lights with their multicoloured spectrum.
There is a small chance that these opals could be synthetic as the ring was made around the time that synthetic opals were introduced. It is unlikely, however, that early techniques were sophisticated enough to produce such special synthetics; these stones are particularly vibrant and look spectacular on the hand.
