Victorian Turqoise & Chalcedony Ball Fob Pendant
A wonderful and unusual fob pendant from the mid Victorian period, c1870s. The pendant is made from 15ct gold and is beautiful quality with a little cage-style design that encloses a chalcedony ball. The gold 'cage' is decorated throughout with turquoise studded lines and flowers. The fob has a swivel mechanism at the top allowing the pendant to twist a little when worn. A true original Victorian piece that would look wonderful worn alone or as part of a group of charms.
Materials - 15ct Gold (tested), Turquoise, Chalcedony
Age - C1870s
Size - The fob measures 20mm long with the bail adding an extra 5mm to the length. It is 12mm wide at its widest point.
Condition - Very good. Two turquoise are a little damaged, but the piece and stones are all original and they are not noticeable when worn.
