SOLD Victorian Sterling Silver Paste Locket
A wonderful locket from the Victorian period, c1860s. The locket is made from sterling silver with the entire front covered in beautiful paste stones. The pastes are a variance of cushion cuts as they have a squarish shape and plenty of character. At the centre is a wonderful vibrant blue paste stone. All the clear pastes are set in pinched collet settings and the locket is finished with its original bail, also set with blue and clear paste stones. It is glass backed and opens on a hinge to allow you to place your own photo inside. A lovely quality piece exhibiting so much work and detail.
The locket hangs on a sterling silver chain, marked on the clasp, that measures approx 16 1/2" long and is included in the price.
