SOLD Victorian Sterling Silver Coiled Snake Ring with Turquoise
A gorgeous snake ring from the Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from sterling silver and is a rigid design that coils around the finger perfectly. The coil is held together and the ring is a fixed piece. The coil has a beautiful floral relief design in the silver, quite typical of this period, and the snake is finished with a turquoise studded etched head. The face of the snake is really pretty and the eyes are clearly visible. A lovely statement on the hand and beautifully crafted. The silver has a wonderful antique patina, which I have left as is.
