Victorian Gold Turquoise Bangle
A beautiful and rare bangle from the mid Victorian period, c1860s. The bangle is made from 9ct gold with a higher carat gold wash giving it a lovely bright appearance. Around the whole circle of the bangle are individually claw set natural turquoise gemstones. The turquoise are marvellous in that each one is so unique and has almost had its own setting made to fit its shape. There is some lovely variation in the colour of the turquoise with the majority of the stones appearing to be original and a wonderful synchronicity across the piece. Overall, the bangle has a beautiful look with a safety chain and a good clasp.
As a note, this piece should be worn with care due to the nature of the settings and the antique element.
