SOLD Victorian 18ct Gold Ruby & Diamond 5 Stone Ring
A pretty and vibrant ring from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a fairly large pink ruby at the centre, with two old cut diamonds on either side. To the far edges are another pair of rubies. All gemstones have been flush mounted, meaning that they sit within the gold of the ring, and each stone has an interesting design as its setting. The centre stone sits in a star style mount, the diamonds sit in off centre squares and the outer stones sit in round settings. Lovely details to compliment the stones.
It looks as though the diamonds are replacements to the originals as they are a slightly different shape from their mount, though they are old cuts and likely replaced the diamonds that were there originally. The price has been altered to reflect this and the quality of the gemstones (please see condition notes for further details).
