SOLD Victorian 15ct Gold Turquoise Blue Enamel Locket

A wonderful and vibrant locket from the Victorian period, c1860s. The locket has a 15ct gold frame that has had turquoise blue enamel applied to it. The enamel is such a wonderful eye-catching colour and is in excellent condition. To the centre front is an applied gold design with a garland motif and a little touch of black enamel to the centre. The locket is a fairly good size and sits well on a long chain. Inside, there is one frame with the original glass that can be removed to place your own picture behind.

The chain pictured is a 15ct gold 38" chain that is sold separately.

Size - The locket measures approx 34mm long by 26mm wide with the bail adding an extra 8mm to the length

Condition - Very good. One very tiny nick to the enamel on the back near the catch. Only noticed through magnification and noted for accuracy only.
