A wonderful pendant from the late Georgian period, circa 1820-30. The pendant is made in the shape of a cross, reminiscent of the Maltese cross design, and has four gorgeous pear shaped amethysts forming the cross shape with the centre stone being circular. The amethysts are a beautiful purple colour, synonymous with this pretty gemstone, and are in perfect condition. The gems are set in 15kt gold. There is a brooch pin to the back, which is silver, as was customary during this time.
