This item is out of stock

A wonderful ring from the late 18th Century, c1780s. The ring is a true original Georgian piece made from 18ct gold and silver. It has a blue sapphire at the centre, which I believe to be a replacement to the original. The cut is very much in keeping with the style of the ring and the sapphire is a deep blue with slight green undertones. Surrounding this pretty gem are four beautiful rose cut diamonds. These are all original to the ring and set in silver as was customary of the period. All stones are in closed back settings. The lovely scroll design surrounding the centre stone and the contrast silver details in the shoulders set this ring apart. A lovely piece of history.

This ring will come in the ring box pictured. I do not believe that this is the original box, but this is how the ring came to me and it sits beautifully in this antique ring box.
