This item is out of stock

A beautiful ring from the late Georgian period, c1820, with a classic cluster design.  At the center of the cluster is a wonderful rose diamond that has been set in a pinched collet silver setting, typical of the period. This is surrounded by natural pearls, one of which could be a replacement. This is an excellent match and the ring came to me as it is. A pinched collet gold setting has been formed around the edge of the pearls and follows the line of these little domes giving the setting a scalloped edge. The cluster sits atop a split shank with classic Georgian shoulders. To the reverse, three letters have been engraved in a beautiful script - I believe they read PEJ or PES.

Two seed pearls have a slightly damaged nacre; this is not obvious when the ring is worn and to replace them seems detrimental as the ring is so pretty as is.
