Georgian Regency Period 18ct Bi-Colour Gold Turquoise Pendant
A beautiful and rare pendant from the late Georgian period/Regency period, c1810. The pendant is made from 18ct gold that is both yellow and rose gold in colour. It has been beautifully crafted and the gold has a stunning matte appearance, which is typical of this style of piece from this period. The pendant has five vibrant turquoise stones set into pinched collet settings with little rose gold flowers that have yellow gold leaves. The flowers resemble the shape of a forget-me-not, a flower often used in jewellery for its sentiment.
The pendant has its original bale, a most wonderful 'finish' to this piece, itself resembling a leaf with an applied gold leaf to the top. The bale also has a little turquoise gem on both sides. Such a piece of quality and one of the nicest pieces I have had the pleasure of owning.
