• SOLD Edwardian 9ct Gold Turquoise & Pearl Star Heart Locket

    £0.00

This item is out of stock

A pretty locket from the Edwardian period, c1905. The locket is made from 9ct gold back and front, a type of construction for these types of lockets that was common during this period. It is the application of a very thick gold layer with the inside a gold coloured metal. It is far stronger than gold plating or vermeil and is reinforced purely for the structure of the locket. To the front is a lovely star design that has been studded alternately with natural turquoise and pearl. Inside there are two heart shaped frames that can be removed to place your own photos behind.

The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
