Edwardian 9ct Gold Fancy Link Bracelet
A wonderful bracelet from the beginning of the 20th Century, c1900/10s. The bracelet is super quality and is made from 9ct gold. It has a beautiful fancy link that appears to be constructed from lots of pieces of flattened gold creating a 'strength in numbers' sort of effect. The panelled links are all very uniform and have a marvellous geometric quality. The bracelet has its original heart lock and both the bracelet and the heart are hallmarked with 9ct and a makers mark of CDB. I believe this is the maker Charles Daniel Broughton, registered in 1882 and known as a gold and silver chain maker.
The bracelet is in wonderful condition and still has the bright gold colour given to pieces during this period by extra gilding on the gold. There is a very slight stiffness to the links, which allows the bracelet to hold its shape very well on the wrist.
