SOLD Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum Chain
This item is RESERVED. To include an extra 9ct gold dog clip as per email discussion.
A beautiful chain from the late Edwardian period, c1910s. The chain is made from alternating links combining 18ct yellow gold that has a rosy tint with platinum. The sophisticated combination of bar links with a lovely knot chain make this an unusual piece and fairly rare to find one such as this. Two of the six gold links are marked as 18CT and two of the five platinum links are marked as PLAT; they are at either end of the chain. This is often the case to show the gold content along the whole chain. To finish, there is a lovely 18ct gold dog clip to one end and a bolt ring at the other, both marked 18.
