SOLD Edwardian 15ct Gold Blue Paste Lavalier Necklace
An absolutely stunning necklace from the Edwardian period, c1905. The necklace is made from 15ct gold and it has beautiful vibrant blue stones. Interestingly the top square stone is a paste stone, whilst the bottom two drops test as gemstones, believed to be blue tourmalines, given their refractive index combined with their colour and appearance. The stones are well matched and are such an eye-catching colour. This style of necklace is a classic negligee pendant with two drops hanging from a central design. The stems here have little seed pearls set in kite shapes dotted along them.
A beautiful and unusual necklace in excellent condition.
