Early 20th Century Silver Enamel Sarcophagus Pendant
A pretty and large pendant from the Art Deco period, c1920-30. This sarcophagus charm would have been made just after the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922, which saw an upsurge in jewellery with an Egyptian influence. This piece is made from Egyptian 600 silver and has wonderful colourful enamel all over the surface. It was originally a pencil, but this mechanism no longer functions. The size of this piece makes a real statement and it is beautiful quality.
