Antique 9ct Gold Moonstone Solitaire Ring
An interesting ring from the early half of the 20th Century. The ring appears to be a marriage of two antique components. The top is a beautiful gold rub over setting that holds a stunning deep cabochon moonstone. The moonstone has a beautiful glow through the stone and sits lovely and high in the setting. The setting itself is hallmarked as 9ct gold. The shank and setting have been matched together and where they have been joined, a little space has been left at the shoulders of the shank giving this ring a modern edge. The shank is fully hallmarked with English hallmarks dating it to Birmingham 1922. The moonstone setting could be just marginally earlier than this, circa late Edwardian.
An interesting and unusual ring, noted for its quirks with the price adjusted accordingly.
